Seremban, 13 December 2025 – The Malaysia Book of Records Recognition Ceremony for the Longest Art Lane in Malaysia, Lorong Seni Seremban, was successfully held at 8.30 p.m. at Benteng Walk, Seremban. This historic ceremony witnessed Lorong Seni Seremban receiving official recognition from the Malaysia Book of Records as the longest art lane in Malaysia, thereby bringing national recognition to the city of Seremban. The ceremony was officiated by YB Puan Nicole Tan Lee Koon, Chairperson of the Negeri Sembilan State Action Committee for Tourism, Arts and Culture. Also present to enliven the event was YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, Mayor of Seremban City Council. The organisers also expressed their sincere appreciation to Encik Chong Say Hoo, MBS Councillor; Tuan Ir. Ts. Br. Mohd Kamal bin Mohd Yusof, MBS Secretary; Puan Azura binti Abu Hassan, Director of Community Development & Tourism; as well as all Heads of Departments and Heads of Units of Seremban City Council. Lorong Seni Seremban, developed since 2019, spans 1 kilometre (round trip) and features more than 50 murals with a total cost of RM2.5 million, based on the concept of “returning the alley to the public.” This initiative not only beautifies the city but also revitalises the local economy, attracts tourists, and elevates Seremban as a creative and inclusive city. This recognition marks an important achievement for Seremban City Council and the local community, in line with aspirations to promote Seremban in conjunction with Visit Negeri Sembilan Year 2026, while strengthening Lorong Seni Seremban’s position as a major national arts and tourism destination.
