Any banner advertisement must obtain approval from the Council. A permit will be issued for each installation of banners for advertisements hung on buildings within the Council's area or on vacant MBS advertising boards.

CONDITIONS OF APPLICATION:

  • Complete application form for advertising license / signage for class A, B and C.
  • Form has to be completed clearly.
  • Return the form together with these documents:
    1. Drawing/artwork example, computer printed with the measurement of banner/bunting in numbers and words. (1 unit)
    2. Permission letter / Approval if banner/bunting be installed in Government Office/Business Premise/Private Land/Private Property buildings.
  • Incomplete applications and not abiding to the conditions will be rejected.
  • Completed forms have to be sent to MBS Administration Department.
  • Banner Measurement: 18 feet x 3 feet (5.49 meter x 0.92 meter) and
    Bunting Measurement: 6 feet x 2 feet ( 1.83 meter x 0.61 meter)
  • For Banner and Bunting Application for business advertisement, applicants are required to include a copy of Business License of the present year. Application forwarded without the Business License copy will not be approved by Majlis Perbandaran Seremban.
  • Applications are required to be made by the Banner/Bunting suppliers/companies.

Banner exhibition duration

1 month only
  • All payments have to be settled before the Banner/Bunting be installed.
    Deposit will not be returned if the conditions are not fulfilled.
  • Reimbursement of deposit, deposit original receipt are required to be returned by the applicant to Majlis after the Banner/Bunting exhibition duration are expired.

 

Installation Conditions:

  1. Stickers has to be installed at the bottommost of the right side on each Banner/Bunting.
  2. Banner/Bunting installed without permit will be imposed fine under Section 119, Local Government Act, 1976.
  3. One (1) unit of artwork (computer printed) complete with the measurement of banner/bunting and the measurements must be attached together with the application form.
  4. Wording in banner/bunting must be in Bahasa Malaysia. If translations to other languages are needed, it must not exceed ½ from the Bahasa Malaysia wording, and all words has to be spelled correctly.
  5. Banner/bunting has to be taken care of so that it won’t deter the traffic and the view.
  6. Banner/bunting needs to be uninstalled by the supplier/applicant once the duration has expired.
  7. Majlis Perbandaran Seremban will not be responsible for any theft/damage of the banner/bunting.
  8. Majlis will take apart any banners/buntings that have incorrect measurements and not tied correctly, and deposit will not be returned.
  9. Bunting installation must be at MBS lamp poles which has the brackets. Installation using wires and must be uninstalled within 24 hours of duration/event expiration. Failure to comply will cause the deposit to be forfeited.

Additional Conditions for Bunting Application

  • Please write down the amount of Bunting that needs to be installed in every location.
  • Please ask for the approval of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) beforehand, prior to application in MBS. Approval letter from TNB has to be attached alongside with the MBS application form.
  • Installation by crossing the road, in roundabouts, junctions, tree branches and not installing them in the location written in the application is not allowable.
  • Planting or installing structures are not allowable.
  • Bunting applications exceeding 20 units has to get the approval of the Director of the Licensing and Cleaning Department, MBS beforehand.
