Visit by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to the Upgrading Project of Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Mohd Said Hockey Stadium, Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan
Seremban, 11 November 2025 — YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu, Secretary-General (KSU) of the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), conducted a visit to the Hockey Stadium at the Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Hj. Mohd Said Sports Complex, Seremban 2. The visit was in connection with the stadium’s upgrading project to assess the existing facilities and evaluate maintenance and infrastructure enhancement needs to support local sports development. YBhg. Dato’ KSU was warmly received by YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Ts. Haji Masri bin Baharuddin, Mayor of Seremban City Council (MBS), together with Tuan Ir. Ts. Br. Mohd Kamal bin Mohd Yusof, Secretary of the Seremban City Council. Also present during the visit were:

- En. Amir Hamzah bin Awang Ghazali, Undersecretary (Development Division), KBS
- Tuan Ahmad Syarifuddin bin Sarmin, Director, Department of Youth and Sports Negeri Sembilan
- Officers from the Public Works Department (JKR) Malaysia
The visit provided KBS with an opportunity to closely observe the current condition of the hockey stadium facilities and identify maintenance and upgrading needs to meet the standards required for hosting official tournaments. This visit reflects the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ commitment and concern towards the Seremban City Council’s efforts in ensuring that public sports facilities are well maintained and capable of supporting the aspirations of sports development in Negeri Sembilan. The Seremban City Council extends its utmost appreciation to YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu for taking the time to visit. The Council hopes that this visit will serve as a catalyst for closer collaboration between KBS and MBS in strengthening the development of sports facilities and activities at both the local and state levels.
